Soly helps you prepare and file a business name registration (sole proprietorship) with the Ontario Business Registry. We are a self-help filing service and an intermediary, not a law firm, and we do not provide legal or tax advice.
Government registration fees (currently $60 for a 5-year Ontario business name registration) are set by the Government of Ontario. Any Soly service fee is shown clearly before you pay. The government fee may be covered if you open a recommended business bank account.
You confirm the information you provide is accurate. Final name availability and approval are determined by the Government of Ontario at the time of filing. You are responsible for keeping your registration current (renewal every 5 years; updates within 15 days of any change).
Preliminary name checks are informational. We cannot guarantee a name will be accepted by the registry. If a filing is rejected, we will work with you to correct and resubmit it.
